A:SKF ring roller bearing is a new radial roller bearing.  This compact self-aligning roller bearing was developed by SKF and launched in 1995.  Compared with the previous roller bearings, SKF ring roller bearings have a brand new change in both design and structure, making them better application performance and longer service life.

1. Design  

The bearing design is unique, which combines the self-aligning ability of spherical roller bearing and the unrestricted axial displacement ability of cylindrical roller bearing.  It can also have a small cross-sectional area, and usually needle bearings have this feature.  

This kind of bearing has a wide range of applications in radial load.  The bearings are specially used as non-positioning end bearings, and the effect is very ideal, because it combines self-aligning and axial displacement capabilities, opening up a new way to save space, reduce weight and reduce production costs.  It is possible to accurately set the radial internal clearance of the bearing by deliberately causing the relative axial displacement of the inner and outer rings.  

2. Structure:  

SKF ring roller bearings are capable of achieving the same or better performance with smaller and lighter configurations, for example in planetary gearboxes.  They simplify the bearing layout on long shafts with large temperature variations.  Vibration is also reduced when such bearings are used, for example in papermaking machinery and ventilators.  It is a single row bearing with long and slightly coronal symmetrical rollers.  The bearing raceways of the inner and outer rings are concave and symmetrically distributed around the bearing center.  Therefore, the raceway characteristics of inner and outer rings can be well combined, which is beneficial to load distribution of bearings and reduce friction.  The roller in the bearing is self-guided, that is, no matter whether the inner ring is axially displaced and/or misaligned relative to the outer ring, the roller is always in the position where the load is evenly distributed over the length of the roller.  Its load capacity is extremely high, even when angular or axial displacement has to be compensated.  In this way, the bearing layout is very reliable in operation and the service life is prolonged.  

3. Features:
