Crossed Roller Bearing

20250319-141548

The rollers of the crossed roller bearing are arranged at 90° perpendicular to each other, and spacers or isolation blocks are installed between the rollers to prevent the rollers from tilting or rubbing against each other, thereby effectively preventing the increase of rotational torque. This design enables the bearing to provide high rotational accuracy and rigidity in a smaller space.

Cross Roller Bearing Advantage

1. Cross roller bearings are characterized by high rigidity, accuracy and easy installation. The mounting holes allow them to be quickly fixed to the assembly. This type of cylindrical roller is also equipped with spacers between them.

2. Cross roller bearings have a strong, inseparable inner and outer ring structure, which can easily achieve high rigidity and high precision without being affected by the surrounding structure. The bearings are suitable for medium to high speeds, and the bearings are equipped with spacers between the cylindrical rollers to provide smooth rotation.

3. The outer diameter of the cross roller bearing is small and the width is narrow. If high performance and less space are required, cross roller bearings can also be used.

4.Because the cross roller bearing is divided into two parts of the outer ring or inner ring, it is fixed together after the roller and the retainer are installed, so the operation is very simple during installation. In addition, the high precision characteristics of the cross roller bearing can reach P4/P2 level, and the volume is smaller, making the host more space-saving.

Application

1. Industrial robot joints: Crossed roller bearings ensure the flexibility and stability of robot joints with their high precision and high load capacity. The design of this bearing allows it to be lightweight and high-loaded in a limited space, meeting the dual requirements of industrial robots for precision and speed.

‌2. CNC machine tool rotary table: In the rotary table of CNC machine tools, the crossed roller bearings not only need to bear the weight of the workpiece, but also ensure the rotation accuracy under load. Its high rigidity and high precision characteristics enable the table to maintain stable performance under high-speed rotation or heavy load conditions.

‌3. Spindle structure design: In the spindle structure design of machine tools such as CNC vertical lathes, the application of crossed roller bearings simplifies the mechanical structure and improves the rigidity and precision of the machine tools. Compared with traditional bearings, crossed roller bearings are easier to install and have lower maintenance costs. ‌

4. High-precision machine tools: For machine tools that require high-precision processing, such as grinders, crossed roller bearings provide the necessary precision guarantee. Its high rigidity and stability enable the machine tool to maintain processing accuracy during long-term operation.

5. Spindle system: The spindle system of the machine tool is the core of the entire machine tool. The application of cross roller bearings here ensures the effective operation of the spindle. Its high speed capability and low friction characteristics enable the spindle to remain stable at high speed rotation, improving processing efficiency and product quality.

6. Vertical lathe: The application of cross roller bearings enables the vertical lathe to provide more stable and accurate processing performance when performing heavy cutting or precision processing. Its high load capacity and high precision characteristics provide strong support for the performance improvement of the vertical lathe.
