- Normalizing: Heat treatment process in which steel or steel parts are heated to the appropriate temperature above the critical point AC3 or ACM for a certain period of time and then cooled in the air to obtain pearlite structures.
- Annealing annealing: hypoeutectoid steel workpiece heated to above AC3 20 to 40 degrees, heat preservation after a period of time, with the slow cooling furnace (or buried in the sand or lime cooling) to 500 degrees Celsius in air cooling heat treatment process
- Solution heat treatment: heat treatment process in which the alloy is heated to a high temperature single-phase zone to maintain a constant temperature, so that the excess phase is fully dissolved into the solid solution, and then cooled quickly to obtain supersaturation solid solution
- Aging: THE phenomenon that the properties of an alloy change with time when it is placed at room temperature or maintained slightly above room temperature after solution heat treatment or cold plastic deformation.
- Solution treatment: make all kinds of phases in the alloy fully dissolved, strengthen the solid solution and improve toughness and corrosion resistance, eliminate stress and softening, so as to continue processing and molding
- Aging treatment: heating and insulation at the temperature of strengthening phase precipitation, so that the strengthening phase precipitation, hardening, improve the strength
- Quenching: the austenitized steel with appropriate cooling rate cooling, so that the workpiece in the cross section of all or a certain range of unstable structure transformation of martensite and other heat treatment process
- Tempering: the heat treatment process in which the quenched workpiece is heated to the appropriate temperature below the critical point AC1 for a certain period of time, and then cooled by the required method to obtain the desired structure and properties
- Carbon nitriding of steel: Carbon nitriding is the process of infiltration of carbon and nitrogen into the surface layer of steel. Traditionally, carbonitriding is also known as cyanide. At present, it is widely used in medium temperature gas carbonitriding and low temperature gas carbonitriding (gas soft nitriding). The main purpose of medium-temperature gas carbonitriding is to improve the hardness, wear resistance and fatigue strength of steel. The main purpose of low temperature gas carbonitriding is to improve the wear resistance and occlusal resistance of steel.
- quenching and tempering: The heat treatment combining quenching and high temperature tempering is generally used to be called quenching and tempering. Tempering is widely used in all kinds of important structural parts, especially those working under alternating load, such as connecting rods, bolts, gears and shafts. After tempering and tempering, the tempered sortensite structure is obtained, and its mechanical properties are better than that of the normalized sortensite structure with the same hardness. Its hardness depends on the high temperature tempering temperature and tempering stability of steel and workpiece section size, generally between HB200-350.
- Brazing: Heat treatment process in which two workpieces are bonded together with filler metal
