When the bearing rotates at a high speed and bears a large axial load, the end surface of the nut in contact with the inner ring of the bearing should be perpendicular to the rotation center line of the shaft. Otherwise, even if the nut is tightened, the installation position of the bearing and the normal working condition of the bearing will be destroyed, and the rotation accuracy and service life of the bearing will be reduced. Especially when the fit between the bearing inner hole and the shaft is a loose fit, strict control is needed.

(1) Nut positioning
When the bearing rotates at a high speed and bears a large axial load, the end surface of the nut in contact with the inner ring of the bearing should be perpendicular to the rotation center line of the shaft. Otherwise, even if the nut is tightened, the installation position of the bearing and the normal working condition of the bearing will be destroyed, and the rotation accuracy and service life of the bearing will be reduced. Especially when the fit between the bearing inner hole and the shaft is a loose fit, strict control is needed.
In order to prevent the nut from loosening during rotation, appropriate technical measures to prevent loosening need to be taken. Position the nut and stop washer, place the inner key teeth of the stop washer into the keyway of the shaft, and then bend one of the teeth on the outer ring into the notch in the nut.
(2) Positioning of spring retaining ring
When the bearing does not bear a large axial load, the rotational speed is not high, the shaft is short, and it is difficult to process threads on the journal, an elastic retaining ring with a rectangular cross-section can be used for positioning. This method is very convenient for loading and unloading, occupies a small space, and is simple to manufacture.
(3) Thrust washer positioning
When the journal is short, it is difficult to process threads on the journal, the bearing speed is high, and the axial load is large, washers can be used for positioning. That is, washers are used to position the shaft end face with two or more screws. Tighten the stop washer or wire to prevent loosening.
(4) Adapter sleeve positioning
The bearing speed is not high and the spherical roller bearing can bear stable radial load and moderate axial load, and can be installed on the optical shaft with the help of a tapered adapter sleeve. The adapter sleeve is positioned with a nut and stop washer. Use the friction of the nut to lock the adapter sleeve to position the bearing.
(5) Bearing positioning with tapered inner hole
When a bearing with a tapered inner hole is installed on a tapered shaft, the axial load test needs to be carried out to tighten the shaft and the bearing. Therefore, attention should be paid to the directionality of the inner hole taper during installation. If the bearing is located at the shaft end and the shaft end is allowed to be threaded, it can be positioned directly with a nut.
If the bearing is not installed on the shaft end, and the shaft is not allowed to be threaded. In this case, the two halves of the combined threaded ring can be stuck into the groove of the shaft, and the nut can be used to position the bearing.
(6) Special positioning
In some special cases, when the shoulder and fillet dimensions of the shaft cannot be determined according to the installation dimensions listed in this catalog, transition gaskets can be used as axial supports.

  1. Positioning of bearing outer ring
    When the bearing outer ring is installed in the shell hole, there is usually a shoulder to fix the bearing on the inside of the outer shell hole, and the other side is positioned with an end cap, a threaded ring and an elastic retaining ring for the hole.
    (1) End cover positioning
    End cover positioning is used for all types of radial bearings and angular contact bearings, and is used when the bearing speed is high and the axial load is large. The end cover is positioned with screws to compress the outer ring of the bearing. The end cover can also be made into a labyrinth sealing device.
    (2) Threaded ring positioning
    When the bearing speed is high and the axial load is large, and it is not suitable to use the end cover for positioning, the threaded ring can be used to position the radial bearing and thrust bearing. At this time, it can be used to adjust the axial clearance of the bearing.
    (3) Positioning of elastic retaining ring
    This positioning method occupies a small axial position, is easy to install and disassemble, is simple to manufacture, and is suitable for locations that bear smaller axial loads. Add an adjustment ring between the bearing and spring to facilitate adjustment of the axial position.
    (4) Deep groove ball bearings with stop grooves on the bearing outer ring can be positioned with stop rings.
    This type is used when the stop shoulder cannot be machined in the housing hole due to limited conditions, or when the component must reduce its outline size.
