How To Inject Bearing Grease

There are four main methods for injecting bearing grease, namely, the grease cup method, the smearing method, the grease gun method and the centralized grease method.

The first one: the grease cup method

Open a small hole next to the bearing to the grease cup, and the grease in the cup is continuously replenished to the bearing. For high-speed bearings, a grease overflow valve should be set to throw out the excess grease in the bearing through the centrifugal force when the bearing rotates, so as to reduce the friction of the bearing and the temperature rise caused by high-speed rotation.

The second one: the smearing method

When smearing, special tools should be used, not bare hands. The amount of grease added should meet the above requirements, and the lubricating grease should cover all the bearing surfaces that need to be lubricated. After the grease has been used for a certain period of time, it is necessary to change the grease or replenish the grease.

The third one: the grease gun method

Use a grease gun to press the grease into the bearing through the grease hole by pressure. This method is mostly used for replenishing grease.

The fourth one: the centralized grease method

Use a pump to uniformly transport the grease to each bearing through a pipeline. The flow route of the newly added grease should be able to squeeze out the old grease, so that the new grease can be replenished into each lubrication point.
