(1) Before installing the high-temperature bearing, the machining quality of the shaft, seat hole and related parts (such as dimensional accuracy, shape accuracy and surface roughness, etc.) should be checked with appropriate measuring tools according to the technical requirements on the design drawings.
(2) If there are bumps, burrs, rust spots or solid particles (such as grinding chips, sand, and soil) on the assembly surface of the shaft and bearing seat hole, it will not only make the FAG bearing difficult to install and make the installation position incorrect, but also solid particles will play a grinding role if they fall into the high-temperature bearing. When the FAG bearing rotates, it will grind or scratch the working surface of the high-temperature bearing. Therefore, it must be carefully checked before installation. If the above defects are found, they should be corrected. For example, use an oil file to remove burrs, raised bumps, and rust spots, and polish with fine sandpaper, or clean solid particles and dirt.
(3) The assembly surface should be cleaned with clean gasoline, kerosene, toluene or xylene solution, wiped dry with a clean rag, and then coated with a thin layer of lubricating oil, which will make the installation operation more convenient.
(4) Open the FAG bearing package before installation, immerse it in the above-mentioned gasoline and other liquids and turn it gently by hand to ensure that the package oil on the cage, rolling element and raceway surface is thoroughly cleaned.
(5) When cleaning a large number of high-temperature bearings, first use hot engine oil at a temperature of 90-100°C to melt the package oil, and at the same time use a seamless and non-chipping tool to dig out all the old oil, then scald for a few minutes, then rinse the engine oil with kerosene, and finally clean it again with gasoline. After cleaning, wear film gloves and place the FAG bearing on a clean cloth or paper on the workbench to dry.
(6) Note that high-temperature bearings with seals cannot be cleaned with this method, and the inside of the seal should remain intact and cannot be cleaned.
