Introduction to stainless steel bearings

Stainless steel bearings can organize batch production, to achieve high strength, high precision. Can be used in easy corrosion, strong corrosion of various products, widely used.

High performance stainless steel bearings provide high precision and wear resistance comparable to high carbon chromium steel on the basis of clean corrosion resistance, accuracy up to ISO standard ABEC-1 above. Vibration grade Z1 group and above.

Stainless steel bearing product characteristics

The bearing ring and rolling element are made of AISI SUS440C stainless steel (domestic code: 9Cr18Mo, 9Cr18) after vacuum quenching and tempering treatment, and the cage and sealing ring skeleton material is made of AISI304 stainless steel (domestic code: 1Cr18). Compared with ordinary bearing steel, stainless steel bearing has stronger rust and corrosion resistance, select appropriate lubricant, dust cover, etc., can be used in the environment of -60℃~+300℃. Stainless steel deep groove ball bearings are equipped with dust cover. [2] Some also contain contact seals. Bearings with dustproof covers or seals on both sides are lubricating for life without maintenance. Stainless steel bearings are widely used in food processing, medical equipment and pharmaceutical machinery because of their high mechanical strength and large load capacity.

Advantages of stainless steel bearing

1, excellent corrosion resistance: stainless steel bearing is not easy to rust, with strong corrosion resistance.

2, washable: stainless steel bearings can be washed down without the need to re-lubricating oil, in order to prevent rust punishment.

3, can run in liquid: because of the materials used, we can run in liquid bearings and housing.

4, slow drying speed: AISI 316 stainless steel, do not need oil or grease corrosion protection. Therefore, if the speed and load are low, lubrication is not required.

5, health: stainless steel natural clean, no corrosion.

6, high heat resistance: stainless steel bearings equipped with high temperature polymer cage or not in a complete complement structure of the cage, can operate in a higher temperature range of 180°F to 1000°F. (High temperature resistant grease is required)

Causes of fracture failure of stainless steel bearing

The main reason for the fracture failure of stainless steel bearing is defect and overload. When the external load exceeds the strength limit of the material, the fracture of the part is called overload fracture. The main cause of overload is the sudden failure or improper installation of the host. Microcracks, shrinkage holes, bubbles, large foreign debris, overheating tissue and local burns of bearing parts will also cause fracture at the defect when the impact overload or severe vibration, called defect fracture. It should be pointed out that in the manufacturing process of bearings, the re-inspection of raw materials, forging and heat treatment quality control, processing process control can be correctly analyzed through the instrument whether the above defects exist, and the control must be strengthened in the future. But generally speaking, most of the stainless steel bearing fracture failure is overload failure.
