Oil seals are precision components, and improper assembly and storage will affect performance. Pay attention to the following when transporting and storing oil seals:

  1. Do not open the original packaging, pay attention to whether the packaging is damaged, and try to keep the oil seal in the original packaging before assembly;
  2. Avoid direct sunlight, and do not place it near high-temperature heat sources, as this will cause the rubber to age;
  3. Oil seals must not be scattered randomly. Pay attention to dust and soil protection, and ensure that the oil seals are closed or covered;
  4. When transporting and using the oil seal, in order to prevent the oil seal from deforming and the spring from falling off, please do not give excessive impact;
  5. The oil seal cannot be tied with strings, nor hung on nails or metal wires, as this will damage the sealing lip;
  6. Do not place the oil seal in a humid place, as this will cause metal parts to rust;
  7. Do not place the seal near the TV or in a place where ozone is generated;
  8. Please do not rub the end of the lip with nails or hard objects to prevent damage to the sealing lip;

Assembling the oil seal, no matter how appropriate the design of the oil seal installation part and the selection of the oil seal are, if the assembly is rough, the intended function of the oil seal cannot be fully exerted.
(1) When installing the oil seal, the outer surface should be coated with appropriate lubricant, and the lip should be coated with suitable clean grease. For oil seals with dust-proof lips, the space between the main and secondary lips should be filled with suitable clean grease. Then proceed with assembly.
(2) Place the sealing lip end of the oil seal toward the sealing medium side, and do not assemble it in the opposite direction.
(3) When the oil seal is inserted into the seat hole, special tools should be used to push it in to prevent position deviation.
(4) Various measures should be taken to prevent lip damage at the threads, keyways, splines, etc. where the oil seal lip passes, and special tools should be used to assemble them.
(5) The oil seal should be placed horizontally into the seat hole and pressurized evenly. Do not push it forcefully at an angle.
