2. Check the bearing model and prepare installation tools

Check whether the non-standard bearing model and size meet the installation requirements, and select the appropriate assembly method according to the structural characteristics of the bearing and the various parts that match it, and prepare the tools and measuring tools for installation. Commonly used installation tools include hand hammers, copper rods, sleeves, special pads, screw clamps, presses, etc., and measuring tools include vernier calipers, micrometers, micrometers, etc.

3. Check the bearing assembly surface

If there are bumps, rust layers, grinding chips, sand, dust and soil on the non-standard bearing assembly surface and the surface of the parts that match it, it will be difficult to install the bearing, resulting in incorrect assembly position; secondly, these attachments will form abrasives and easily wear the working surface of the bearing, affecting the assembly quality. Therefore, before installation, the surface of the journal, the housing hole of the bearing seat, the shoulder end face, and the matching surfaces of the connecting parts such as bushings, washers, and end covers should be carefully inspected. If there is a rust layer, it can be filed off with a fine file and polished with fine sandpaper. At the same time, the attachments on the non-standard bearing assembly surface and its connecting parts should also be removed.
