There are three main types of thin-wall bearings Thin-wall bearing characteristics Precautions when using thin-wall bearings

There are three main types of thin-wall bearings:

  1. Radial contact (L type)
  2. Angular contact (M type)
  3. Four-point contact (N type)

Note: the rings in these bearings are mainly made of bearing steel and stainless steel.

Thin-wall bearing characteristics

1, the use of large inner hole, small cross section of thin-wall bearing can be used with large diameter hollow shaft instead of small diameter solid shaft, such as: air, water pipe, wire can be provided through the hollow shaft, so that the design is more concise.

2, thin-walled bearings can save space, reduce weight, significantly reduce friction, and provide good rotation accuracy. Without affecting the bearing performance and service life, the use of thin-wall bearing can reduce the external size of the design and reduce the production cost.

3, thin-wall bearings seven open series, five sealed series, inner hole diameter from 1 inch to 40 inch, cross section size range from 0.1875×0.1875 inch to 1.000×1.000 inch. There are three types of open bearings: radial contact, angular contact and four-point contact. Sealed bearings are divided into: radial contact and four-point contact.

Precautions when using thin-wall bearings

1, ensure that the storage of thin-wall bearings and the surrounding environment should be clean, even if the dust is very fine into the inside of thin-wall bearings, will increase the wear, vibration and noise of thin-wall bearings.

2, when installing thin-wall bearing, it is absolutely not allowed to force stamping, because the groove of thin-wall bearing is very shallow, the inner and outer ring is also very thin, strong stamping will lead to the separation of the inner and outer ring of the bearing and other damage. Therefore, in the installation, we should first determine the range of production and installation clearance with the manufacturer, and cooperate with the installation according to the range of clearance.

  1. In order to prevent the corrosion of thin-wall bearings, it is necessary to ensure that the storage environment is dry and free of moisture, and the storage is separated from the ground. When taking out the bearing for bearing use, be sure to wear clean gloves to avoid moisture or sweat sticking to the bearing and causing corrosion.

In the process of using thin-wall bearings, if the use is improper, or the cooperation is not good, it will not be able to achieve the desired effect of thin-wall bearings, so we must pay attention to the above details when using thin-wall bearings.
