The end face and inner and outer cylindrical surfaces of the bearing end cover require turning. Semi-finishing and rough turning can be used, and roughing and finishing should be carried out separately to ensure the surface roughness requirements. The end face and inner and outer cylindrical surfaces of the bearing end cover require turning. Semi-finishing and rough turning can be used, and roughing and finishing should be carried out separately to ensure the surface roughness requirements. The main bearing end cover process design is as follows:

1. Aging treatment of workpiece

For the cover type fog parts whose blanks are castings, due to the uneven thickness of each part, there is a large casting internal stress, which is easy to cause defects such as deformation, so artificial aging treatment must be arranged. For this end cover, the accuracy requirements are general, and the natural parking and transportation time between the roughing and finishing processes can be used to obtain the effect of natural aging treatment. The longer the natural aging treatment time, the better, otherwise it will affect the stability of the end cover matching accuracy. For particularly precise end covers, an artificial aging should be arranged between the roughing and finishing processes to eliminate the casting internal stress and improve the accuracy stability.

2. The order of processing technology should be surface first and hole later

As the two main types of processing surfaces on the end cover, plane and hole, from the perspective of stable and reliable positioning, the plane is much better than the hole, and the processing allowance of the hole can also be uniform; from the perspective of processing difficulty, the plane is easier to process than the hole; from the perspective of favorable processing, the plane is processed first and then the holes distributed on the plane. Since the defects such as unevenness and sand inclusions on the surface of the casting have been removed, it is greatly beneficial to the processing of holes.

3. Separate rough and fine processing in the processing stage

The end cover is a cast iron part with a large reserved processing allowance. In the rough processing, the cutting allowance is large, the clamping force and cutting force are large, and the cutting heat is large, so the impact on the processing accuracy is also large; in addition, the rough processing is cutting the surface metal of the rough blank, and the stress in the workpiece is redistributed, which will also cause the workpiece to deform. Therefore, the rough and fine processing are divided into two processing stages, which is conducive to fully exposing the deformation of the workpiece caused by various reasons after the rough processing, and eliminating it in the fine processing stage.

4. Cleaning of the workpiece

At the same time, the cleaning step is also very important. Cleaning is important to ensure the quality of machine assembly and extend the service life of the machine, especially for precision fittings and seals. The purpose of cleaning is to remove oil and impurities on the surface of the mist parts. Commonly used cleaning fluids include kerosene, gasoline, alkali solution and chemical cleaning fluids. Cleaning methods such as scrubbing, immersion, spraying and ultrasonic cleaning can be used.
