How To Check Rear Wheel Bearings

Simple Judgment Method  

1. You can touch the bearing by hand, and rotate it with some force by hand. Is there any friction or poor feeling, compared with the new bearing?  

2, can be separated from the bearing, see if the roller is blue, or brushed.  

3. Pick up the vehicle, gear it up to 60 yards, and listen carefully for humming wheels  

Comparison Of Surface Features:  

1, there is abnormal sound, or the noise is too large.  

2, the shaft is hot when touched by hand.  

3, the vibration is relatively large  

4, rotation is difficult.  

5, can not meet the performance requirements.  

Wheel bearing problem judgment  

1. Open the window and listen to whether the sound comes from outside the car;  

2, after increasing the speed (when the buzz is larger) will gear in neutral to let the vehicle taxi, observe whether the noise comes from the engine, if there is no change in neutral taxi hum that is mostly the wheel bearing problem;  

3, temporary parking, check the shaft out of the car’s temperature is normal, the method is: use hands to touch the four wheels, the temperature of the general feeling about them are consistent (brake shoe, normal clearance, the temperature of the front and rear wheels is a gap, the front wheel is high), if feel difference may continue to slow traffic to the pit;

Brake inspection
