Q13:How to identify SKF bearings true or false?  

How to distinguish the authenticity of SKF bearings:

• 1.  First of all, look at the outer packing box of the bearing. The general packing box is white, blue and red.  But the products of the past two years are flower boxes with several SKF trademarks.  

• 2.  Look at the production date of the bearing. If you open the packaging box of the bearing from the side, there is the production date and date code on the box.  

• 3. Bearing produced after 2000 has a bar code on its packaging box.  

• 4.  Look at the bearing model, bearing model has suffix letters A, B, C, D, E, etc., these letters respectively represent different production years, see attached table for specific information.  

• 5.  Note the SKF font on the logo. The S is narrow at the top and wide at the bottom, and there are pits on the left vertical of the K and F.  

• 6.  Look at the steel seal, there are two kinds of letters indicating the type and origin of SKF bearings: pickling and laser processing.  When touched by hand, it is relatively smooth, and the font of false bearings is generally engraved.  

• 7.  Look at the origin, ball bearing origin: Malaysia, Italy, France, the United States (Bearings made in the United States are generally only used in the United States);  Short cylindrical bearing origin: Germany;  Origin of angular contact bearings: Austria;  Origin of spherical roller bearings: Malaysia (generally small 2315, 2316, 2318), Sweden (large), Germany (large);  Needle roller bearings of Origin: Germany.  

• 8.  After the bearing is opened, the large bearing is generally sealed plastic bag, and the small bearing is plastic wrapping paper.  There is a layer of grease on the bearing, the real bearing appearance is bright, no corrosion and pitting.
