Paint rust mainly occurs on enclosed motors or motors stored in closed packaging. This is mainly because the paint rust of enclosed motors is not easy to escape. The characteristics of paint rust are mainly as follows:
Occurrence location: usually in the southern region with high temperature and high humidity and the coastal area with high humidity.
Occurrence time: usually in the hot and humid season, the proportion of motors stored in April, May and June each year is the highest, because at this time, the motors are stored in the warehouse due to climate changes, and condensation is very likely to occur.
Motor type: usually enclosed motors or enclosed storage.
The paint rust of the bearing has obvious directionality, and it is more serious near one end of the rotor than the other end. After removing the sealing cover, a strong smell of paint can be smelled. Sometimes the rust inside the bearing is more serious than the outside.
The grease of the bearing with paint rust has a special paint rust smell, which is similar to the smell of insulating paint.
The occurrence of paint rust mostly occurs in the case of solvent-based insulating paint, and sometimes it also occurs when using solvent-free paint (insufficient drying time).
